Temporary lodging and visitor's quarters can be obtained at the Vandenberg Lodge, which is also the base's 24-hour arrival point. Reservations are taken as much as 6 months in advance for TDY and PCSing personnel. Space-A lodging may be available, but this varies. The maximum length of stay is 30 days, although an extension might be authorized if a request is filed before the 30th day. All facilities are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Amenities at Vandenberg include wireless access in all lodging rooms, furnishings, and kitchens. The base also has beach access. Pet friendly TLFs are available for a small fee, but limited, and reservations are suggested as far in advance as possible. If pet friendly quarters are not available, kenneling elsewhere will be required.

Local commercial lodging is generally friendly, and may have military specials. A Non-Availability statement will be required for reimbursement.
