Getting Here

When arriving in the Vandenberg Air Force Base area, the nearest major airport is the Santa Maria Public Airport which his located about 18 miles from the base. Another major airport is the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport which is located about 38 miles from Vandenberg Air Force Base. Taxi service is available from the airport.

If arriving by car from the Santa Barbara Airport, head east onto Fowler Road until Highway 101 Northbound. Turn onto Highway 246 West toward Lompoc. Just before reaching Lompoc, take a right turn onto Purisima Road which merges into Highway 1. Highway 1 will take you past the main gate for Vandenberg Air Force Base.
